Have a nice day!
The escape from winter is now behind me and now it time to return to my career as an IT Architect. Soon some people will visit my little nook on the web and I thought it would be prudent to show a picture of me looking professional ...

... before they see me jumping into swimming pools, wai'ing Ronald McDonald, and ... eating a cockroach.

Tian'anmen and cyclist
The literal translation of Tian'anmen is heaven-peace-gate, however it is expressed as "The Gate of Heavenly Peace".

Added myself to Facebook
A few days ago I added myself to Facebook, which is an excellent site for sharing photos and catching up with friends, especially from work or school. It replaces popular sites such as: Flickr, MySpace (please do! Sorry, but yes, your MySpace page IS obnoxious ;) ), Classmates.com (you must pay just to be able to contact someone), and lavalife.com (ditto) all in one nice tight ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT package. It has been around for a couple of years already and is very popular (at least in North America), but it has only been open to all users since September '06.
Anyway, I encourage you to sign-up. Feel free to also look me up and add me.

The outdoor pool at Monterey Place
One thing I am really going to miss about living in Bangkok that I will not have in my Toronto condo is an outdoor swimming pool. We have one on the 7th floor which is not only an escape from the polluted streets below, but also a refreshing way to cool off after a hot day.
So today a wonderful Thai, who was enjoying the shade ;), borrowed my camera so I could have some poolside memories ...
